Anna Orasmaa is a harpsichordist and versatile music teacher from Kerava. Her interest in early music was aroused while playing the basso continuo as a student – a natural departure for a musician interested in keyboard harmony. She regularly appears in the ranks of the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, can be seen with the Trio Barocco and others, and also appears with Finnish orchestras in need of a harpsichordist.
The Baroque concerts for children in day nurseries and primary schools have been items on Anna Orasmaa’s agenda for years. She played in the European Union Baroque Orchestra from 2005 to 2007, as a soloist in many European countries. Anna can further be spotted in Finnish National Opera and National Theatre productions. When not performing, she is kept busy teaching the piano.
