Ute Goedecke

Ute Goedecke has been professionally working with different ensembles, singing and playing music from early Baroque, Renaissance and Middle Ages since 1983. Since 1990 she has been working together with Per Mattsson in Ensemble Laude Novella, exploring the music of the late Middle Ages and Early Renaissance. Ensemble Laude Novella has published nine CD’s on own label as well as doing uncountable concerts and tours, often in cooperation with other musicians or ensembles.

Goedecke is a multi-instrumentalist as well as a gifted singer; she plays recorders of all types, Medieval harp, the Medieval shawm, and the Baroque violin when repertoire requires it. She is also a founding member of the Ensemble Mare Balticum specializing in the 17 th century music mainly from the countries around the Baltic Sea.

Apart from working as a performer, Goedecke takes great pleasure in teaching, and is a appreciated instructor on courses and workshops in Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
